As a NLOL Friend, you can help find loving homes for dogs in Chicago.

It takes people like you to fuel New Leash on Life.  Make 2018 an amazing year -- one where we find more homes for dogs than ever before!

We can do so much more...

New Leash on Life’s mission is finding warm homes for shelter dogs in the Chicagoland area. We work to alleviate the major issue of pet overpopulation through our adoption, foster, and education programs. To date, we have rescued over ???? 1,000 dogs ???? – large and small, all deserving of compassion and love.

HOW WE USE YOUR DONATIONS

Every year, thousands upon thousands of Chicago’s pets are put to death for no reason. These unwanted, sometimes abused, sometimes sick animals are the result of careless breeding and thoughtless actions. Owners relinquish their animals to shelters for absurd reasons, and we have heard them all: “He has black fur and I just put in white carpet!” "he's untrained," or "I'm moving and my new landlord said no pets."It is the goal of New Leash On Life Chicago to find permanent, loving home for these forgotten animals, but we can’t do it alone. It is a mammoth task. We have a fantastic band of volunteers who help with all aspects of our organization, but love doesn’t buy all the necessities to keep us running and successful. This is where you come in — this is where you can help!

NLOL operates solely on donations, and every cent we raise goes directly to our dogs for medical care, food, supplies, and boarding.

We can do this because we are volunteer-run and do not have a facility, and instead rely exclusively on foster homes and partner boarding facilities to keep our dogs safe while they wait for their forever home. As you can imagine, our veterinary costs quickly add up and comprise the largest portion of our expenses each year. Each our dogs receives a full medical exam, spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip, and we pay for any necessary treatment or surgery that may arise while they are still under our wing, no matter how expensive. Since they are opening their homes to one of our pups, we also ensure all foster homes have the supplies they need, including crates, food, toys, and even dog training when needed.

We SIMPLY CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT THE HELP OF OUR DONORS.

ON BEHALF OF ALL THE DOGS SAVED AND THOSE STILL DREAMING OF RESCUE...

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Goal: $1,600 per month

It costs more than $400 in vet fees to rescue one dog.

$1,600 every month would give us enough to potentially save four more dogs!
